Hier nochmals die Basic-Infos: Heute abend können im Stattbad in der Oderberger Straße Designer-Schätze gegen Vintage-Teile aus dem eigenen Arhiv geswappt werden, nebenbei darf gefeiert werden mit Musik und Drinks, versteht sich. Und Gutes tuen dürfen die Besucher auch: Der Erlös des Abends geht an die Berliner Aids Hilfe e.V.. Und dass der Ausflug sich lohnt zeigt die Liste der Designer, die den Abend unterstützen – man könnte auch sagen, die Berliner Modeszene ist on board, um deinen Kleiderschrank aufzuhübschen: Kaviar Gauche, Michalsky, Franzius, Butterfly Soulfire, Penkov, Frida Weyer, c.neeon, A.D.Deertz und viele mehr.

ENGLISH VERSION Tonight is your chance to upgrade your wardrobe by swapping your vintage items for some new stuff. The Skky Swapp Market opens at 9 p.m. at Stattbad, followed by a party (from 11 p.m.), but the event hosted by Designer Scouts is not only a great possibility to get rid of unloved stuff and updating your style: the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Berliner Aids Hilfe e.V..
And by the way: you might find a piece by Kaviar Gauche, Michalsky, Franzius, Butterfly Soulfire, Penkov, Frida Weyer, c.neeon, A.D.Deertz and a whole lot of other designers…

Tauschen statt neu kaufen. Die „Swapping-Idee“ lebt! Am 27. August geht’s wieder los, denn dann heißt es im Stattbad in der Oderberger Straße neue-alte Designer-Teile ergattern, feiern und nebenbei Gutes tun: Der Erlös des Abends geht an die Berliner Aids Hilfe. Aber vorher muss man sich registrieren und das geht so: Ab dem 31.07. können eigene Kleidungsstücke in einem der drei Swap Spots vorgezeigt (siehe Flyer), beurteilt und gegen einen Gutschein eingetauscht werden. Dieser kann dann am 27.8. eingetauscht gegen ein Teil der Wahl eingetauscht werden. Und nicht nur Normalsterbliche, sondern auch etablierte und junge Designer werden ihre Teile einreichen! Klingt nach einem mehrfach guten Abend…

Recycle your style. Swap your clothes for someone else’s but first of all: save the date! On August 27th it’s Swapping time at Stattbad Oderberger Straße. And secondly: get registered and get your voucher. Bring your items to swap to one of the three swap spots (see flyer) have them checked and rated and get a voucher. And by the way, there’s not only ordinary mortals but established and young designers checking their stuff in! And besides clothing, there’s music music, too and on top you will not only leave the place with a new style item but a good conscience: recycling is sustainable and the event’s proceeds will be donated to Berliner Aidshilfe. Sounds like a win-win situation…

ENGLISH VERSION BELOW… Passend zur Berlin Fashion Week feierte der erste Shop von Sabrina Dehoff Eröffnnung und der scheint der logische nächste Schritt im Lebenslauf der Designerin zu sein, denn klingt nach diese-Frau-hat-ziemlich-viel-richtig-gemacht: Da wäre das Modedesign-Studium an einer Prestige-Schule – London, Royal College of The Arts, mit Master abgeschlossen. Erfahrungen bei international renommierten Modehäusern gesammelt; Guy Laroche und Lanvin wären zu nennen. Es folgte der Umzug nach Berlin und die Selbstständigkeit im Bereich Consulting mit vonRot – abgehakt. Und das eigene Schmuck-Label im Jahr 2005 – work in progress, ziemlich erfolgreich. Eine kleine Mode-Kollektion und eine Show im Rahmen der Berlin Fashion Week vor einem Jahr wären auch noch aufzuführen. Und jetzt der eigene Shop, in dem erstmals das ganze Œuvre auf einmal zu sehen sein wird. Mit neuen Kollektionen und Klassikern. Now Open!
Sabrina Dehoff has done quite a lot of things right. This includes a Masters degree in fashion design from the Royal College of the Arts in London; experience at internationally renowned fashion houses – such as Guy Laroche and Lanvin; followed by a move to Berlin and into self-employment in the field of consulting with her firm vonRot and the foundation of her own jewelry label in 2005 – a work in progress, quite successful. A small collection and a fashion show during fashion week a year ago are also worth mentioning and now, for the first time, her entire oeuvre can be seen – with new collections and the classics at her recently opened shop at Torstrasse in Berlin-Mitte.

Donnerstag Abend wurde es skandinavisch in Berlin, die Retail-Kette Weekday hat ihren ersten Shop in Berlin eröffnet. An der Friedrichstrasse drängelte sich das Publikum um auf zwei Etagen zwischen Kleiderbügeln, um dann im Rodeo weiterzumachen…

ENGLISH VERSION BELOW… Diese Saison findet im Stadtteil Wedding nicht nur das Wedding Dress Mode-Festival statt, sondern auch das ehemalige Schwimmbad wird durch das Projekt STATTBAD vom 7. bis zum 11. Juli modisch bespielt. In den ehemaligen Umkleidekabinen gibt es einen Showroom und auf dem Balkon eine Foto-Ausstellung. Heute ist bereits Eröffnung mit Preview, Cocktail Empfang und Party in den Kellerräumen des ehemaligen Schwimmbades und am letzten Tag der offiziellen Fashion Week lockt die Veranstaltung dann nochmals mit einem BBQ Brunch auf die Sonnenterrasse. Das Motto der Veranstaltung lautet „Fashion Whaat!“ – sollte aber vielleicht eher „Wedding Whaat?“ heißen…
Wedding is up-and-coming for years now, but at least in terms of fashion it seems true. This season there’s not only the Wedding Dress Festival happening outside, but also the project STATTBAD trying to lure the fashion crowd to Wedding and inside the former public swimming pool which is being transformed into a temporary fashion event with showrooms and an exhibition. The opening already is today, one day before official Fashion Week Berlin starts, at 3 pm with a professional preview followed by a cocktail reception and a vernissage-slash-opening party in the basement of the building. This year’s odd motto is “Fashion Whaat!”, but could be “Wedding Whaat?”, too…
