Naomi, Cindy, Eva & Co starring in Duran Duran’s new video. They’ve been the first band who hired models to perform in their video clips and it seems British band Duran Duran still likes the idea…the band’s latest song called “Girl Panic!”, shot by Jonas Åkerlund unites some of the so-called “supermodels” of the 1990s. Naomi Campbell plays Duran Duran‘s frontman Simon Le Bon, Helena Christensen is Roger Taylor, Eva Herzigova Nick Rhode’s double and Cindy Crawford performs as John Taylor and then there’s Yasmin Le Bon as herself, too. The video was shot at the Savoy Hotel in London and features clothing by Dolce & Gabbana. Altogether certainly a very fashionable shoot but thank god it’s Duran Duran’s real characters who sing and play the song… the song might not be available in some countries but check Greektube to watch it (click here or click the image above).

Naomi, Cindy, Eva & Co in Duran Durans neuem Video. Duran Duran war die erste Band, die Models für ihre Video-Clips buchte und es scheint, als ob den britischen Musiker, die Idee immer noch gefällt. Der jüngste Song der Truppe „Girl Panik!“,  vereint mal eben einige der sogenannten „Supermodels“ der Neunzigerjahre. Naomi Campbell spielt in dem Clip Frontman Simon Le Bon, Helena Christensen verkörpert Roger Taylor, Eva Herzigova durfte Nick Rhode doubeln und Cindy Crawford agiert als John Taylor. Und dann ist da noch Yasmin Le Bon als sie selbst. Der Clip wurde von Jonas Åkerlund inszeniert und im Londoner Savoy Hotel gedreht. Die Mode stammt aus dem Hause Dolce & Gabbana – alles in allem also ein sehr modischer Clip. Nur gut, dass die Models nicht wirklich singen und Musik machen, sondern das immerhin noch die Herren von Duran Duran übernehmen. Der Clip ist in Deutschland über die üblichen Kanäle nicht mehr zu sehen, aber auf Greektube, kann man sich das Ganze ansehen (hier klicken oder direkt ins Bild oben).
